About Me

"I am a social change-maker and a humanitarian award winner who recognizes that youth are the driving force behind economies. I am dedicated to empowering and liberating them from the constraints of limitations.

In 2009, I founded 'I Reach Out My Hand Africa,' an organization that supports disadvantaged people in rural communities by providing sustainable solutions to overcome disparities.

Our organization offers hope not only to the younger generation but also extends its reach to older individuals. It's evident that many programs overlook those who have come of age, and in 2017, I launched a fashion brand called 'House of Tyrone (HOT)' to raise funds for charitable causes. In August of the same year, I participated in a fashion designer expo that aimed to fundraise for KidzCan, an organization assisting children undergoing chemotherapy.

In 2018, we initiated a mentorship program inspired by the Young African Leaders sessions I mentored. The highlight of 2018 was the 'Transparency and Good Governance' online mentorship program, later named the 'Tyrone Havnar Mentorship Program.'

The success of this journey led me to travel to Laikipia in Kenya, where one of my mentees launched her organization with the theme 'Youth Empowerment Conference.' I delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of unity among youth across borders and the creation of hubs for resource sharing, both online and offline, to ignite positive change in Africa and beyond.

The mentorship program gained recognition, and I was invited to mentor Iraqi youth under the 'Iraqi Youth Capacity Building Project (IYCBP).' I provided consultations, guidance, and support for entrepreneurship and proposal writing.

My commitment to human freedoms led me to join 'Youth for Human Rights International,' where I now distribute and educate young people on their fundamental human rights. I earned a certificate in 'Understanding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights' with Amnesty International.

From these foundations, the 'African Youth Network' emerged, connecting African youth with community leaders to learn and be inspired through profiling and life stories. This initiative promotes shared learning, collaboration, motivation, and unity among African youth to become leaders in their communities, contributing to Africa's social, political, and economic transformation.

All of this work is sustained through my skills in arts and crafts, farming, fashion fundraisers, part-time construction services, and training people to start social ventures and organizations.
